Product Description

Those of you who know about these vintage gems know what I am about to say. These are the actual Gibson Law Suite Les Paul’s …Many claim to be these guitars, but the MPC’s` and the Ibenez Paul’s are the real thing. (See Links below for the Complete Story)

The MPCs were manufactured in the same factory, side by side, at the same time as the Ibanez Pauls and were not only High Quality Copies as described but, I think they were actually better than the original mid to late 70’s Gibson Les Pauls they were copying.  What this means is that as the factory was manufacturing the Ibanez run, a portion was pulled aside and outfitted as Electra MPC’s and sold as such.  Ask your self, where are all of these guitars?  I would say they are most likley still in the hands of the original owners…. they are that good!

Many well known Guitarists of the time played them and their reputation and status has grown over the years. I’ll Say it again.. these are exceptional guitars!

In 1976 my father purchased me my first real Electric Guitar.. It was an Electra X-310 MPC Black Bueaty .  I still have one today as well as two others (an X-320  Apple Red and an X-330 Cherry Burst).  Commonly, a major upgrade for these guitars was the replacement of the original Magnaflux pickups with a Dimnarzio or some other such humbucker… I replaced the original Bridge Pickup with a Duncan Antiquity Humbucker and left the original Magnaflux in the neck position.

This is a double bound Les Paul clone Guitar with a bound BONY Fretboard and Headstock, Abalone Inlays, a Brass nut, 5 position Rotary switch and 2 MPC effects modules. The MPC is unique in that it has replaceable effects modules (quite difficult to find and quite expensive in working condition). This Black Beauty has the great the MPC Power Over Drive and the Dynamic Fuzz modules.  These can be activated with two toggle switches on the font of the guitar and dialed in with the last two control knobs.

Some of the best Lead work I have ever done was done on an MPC.
