This is a completely New Build Stratocaster… Alder Body with a Fender CIJ Neck.  Maybe I should explain something about these Fender CIJ (Crafted in Japan) Products. The Japanese keep their CIJ Product for their own domestic consumption.. all the rest get exported… essentially they keep the best stuff for themselves… and I have to agree.. the CIJ Fender necks are consistently some of the best necks Fender has produced in years.. maybe decades! …. I am A HUGE FAN of these necks.  I have a connection in Japan and get to chose from the best of the best as they come directly from the factory.

Either way I built this guitar, as I do for all of these guitars, with the intent of them being my personal guitars.   I started with a great old discontinued color called Tropical Green.  I had Scotty Huffman at The Guitar Tone Shop do the finish and had him also do the headstock.  To my knowledge, the Japanese focus exclusively  on ’62 Reissues Fender and they nail it consistently (not a bad choice if you ask me). This is a ’62 Reissue Maple with Rosewood fingerboard, Medium C Profile Neck.  As I explained before, Scotty doesn’t just paint the color on, he also Clear/Tones them to match what it would look like after 30 years … so it’s Aged Perfectly and reeks of a Vintage Custom Color Stratocaster!  It also sports a full set of three matching Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups.

If you are looking for a Stratocaster that is seeped in a Classic Vibe and has all the Great Tones that only the Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials can produce with an Impossible to Get Custom Color and has one of those Legendary CIJ Necks… this is it!
